This beautiful 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath two-story duplex home sits in the posh Beverly Grove neighborhood.
I completed a full renovation late last year. The house features a gourmet kitchen with
stainless steel appliances (including a Sub-Zero fridge and Thermador oven/range).
The house also features original 1936 crown molding, a handsome fireplace and recently-refinished hardwood floors.
The living room and master bedroom include televisions with over 500 satellite TV channels as well as DVD players.
There's also a shared backyard charcoal BBQ and a washer and dryer (laundry soap included).
I am entertainment-industry (touring companies, Hollywood cast and crew, etc.) friendly. The house is in
a fantastic and trendy neighborhood, centrally located to easily get to all major studios and theaters. With
literally dozens of great restaurants, shops and movie theaters within walking distance, it's
a perfect home away from home.
The house is on a permit-only parking street and comes with TWO permits for two vehicles... bottom line, it's always easy to park right in front of the property.
Arriving on a late flight? Have to clear customs and immigration and not sure when you'll be at the house? No problem at all, I can easily accomodate your arrival, as late as necessary.
The house features three large, bright bedrooms, each with queen-size beds and 650-thread-count linens.
Additionally, there's a very comfortable inflatable AeroBed for sleeping two more.
There are three bathrooms, two with showers (one with a bathtub) and a half-bath off the kitchen.
The master bathroom and guest bathroom are very clean and fresh and stocked with fresh white towels.
The gourmet kitchen features stainless steel appliances (including
a Sub-Zero fridge and Thermador oven/range).

The house was built in 1936 and features many original touches, such as
the handsome fireplace mantle, the French doors off the master bedroom,
and the intricately design of the balcony railing, to name a few. Additionally,
the original (but newly-refinished) hardwood floors and crown molding give
the home a stateliness you won't find in a boring new building.
Every room has been designed and furnished by
the up-and-coming L.A. interior design firm
"this is not ikea."
As they explain:
Every piece speaks to us.
You will see a variety of styles,
ranging from mid-century modern and retro styles to shabby chic and
unique art pieces, but they all share a "this is not ikea" look. We look
for pieces that are unique, interesting, classic, artistic -- pieces with
personality. We look for pieces that we would put in our own homes,
or the house of a close friend.
You can see that each room has its own unique style; by avoiding
brand-new, personality-free generic furniture, you will be in
rooms designed to not only compliment the home's original 1936 charm, but also to give the
house a creative energy you won't find anywhere else.
From the original movie
posters and lobby cards on display throughout the house...
to the incredibly comfortable lounge chair in the "tree" bedroom... to the
historically-accurate hand-laid linoleum tile kitchen floor... to the
handsome Asian-inspired dark wood and straight lines of the master bedroom...
each and every room is an inspiring delight for the senses.

We had a fantastic stay and only wished it could have been longer. We really appreciated the thoughtful little touches.
So pleased that we chose this house for the LA part of our vacation.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was absolutely wonderful! The house is a short work to a huge number of great take-out places, restaurants the Beverley Center (shopping center and I'm sure there were more) and there's even a small corner store which supplies alcohol, cigarettes and a few groceries. As the advert states, the house is only a short drive from so many other places as well. My partner and I are from Australia and this was our first visit to LA. A hotel is fine but it's no house, we couldn't have been more comfortable than we were in this beautiful house. Highly recommended to any person seeking affordable luxury living!

This is a charming 1930s era house with some original elements (love the original furnace vent grates) and modern comforts where necessary - like the kitchen, bedrooms, etc. Everything is spotlessly clean. The off 3rd Street location is perfect: you can walk to Toast or Joan's for breakfast, Son of a Gun (one of LA's hottest restaurants) for lunch, and Robata Jinya for dinner - then to Magnolia Bakery for cupcakes for dessert. We will definitely stay here again.

We've rented homes all over the world and this is one of our favorites. This charming house is located in a great location in West Hollywood. Restaurants, shopping, sights and bars are all just around the corner from the house and only a short walk away. Don't miss Joan's on Third for any meal (we went every day) or Toast for breakfast. The house is tastefully decorated in a vintage Hollywood style. The working fireplace was a nice touch in the living room and we enjoyed it every night during our mid-winter stay. The kitchen is recently updated and very user friendly. Eric is great to work with and he goes out of his way to make you feel welcome.

My team and I had to be in town on business for a couple days and decided to rent from Eric vs. staying in a hotel; we had an amazing experience! The house has everything you could need. 3 large bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a spacious living room, a cozy dining room that seats 6 and a beautiful/updated kitchen (with laundry). We were able to be productive for work, having meetings in the spacious living room, and also relax with a glass of wine to wind down our days. It was great to have a home-away-from-home feeling, vs. being bunked down in a hotel. A first for my team, but we'll absolutely take this approach again. Eric was available with a couple questions I had; very quick to respond. We'll absolutely stay at Eric's place again! I very much recommend!

My family came to LA last weekend for my wedding and we rented this beautiful Home from Eric. I have to say the it was such a dream working with Eric, he was the most pleasant and helpful person I could ever imagine! This home is exactly as pictured, beautiful modern decor, clean with three perfect sized bedrooms. The living room with fireplace was perfect to come home to after spending the day visiting all the great spots that are very close by including shops, restaurants, cafes as well as the great Beverly Center Mall. I highly recommend this Home, and would always check back with Eric through this site when having family and friends visit us in the future!

Location, Location, Location. It couldn't be located in a more convenient neighborhood. You're near the Beverly Center, Grove, Farmer's Market, Larchmont, WeHo, Ktown, Robertson, Animal, Cantor's Deli, right next to Joan's on Third, MAGNOLIA BAKERY! If you really want to, you could drive to Silverlake which is only 20min away. Yes, we only stayed 3nights, but we hit up all these places because they're all so close! If you have limited amount of time, THIS is the place to stay. Some of my friends and I had a nice lil post hangover run around the neighborhood, and there are a TON of cute little art, clothes, furniture, knick knack stores surrounding the area. I don't know if he got an interior decorator or if he did it all himself, but I felt the "WELCOME TO LA" vibe upon entering, and the entire house is very eclectic with each room having its own personality - vintage, art deco, modern, fun retro. I felt like I was on MTV's Real World with all of us running around checking out the house, trying to decide where to sleep, turning on the fireplace and sipping our cocktails. Finally, he pays attention to every detail to ensure that his guests are comfortable - parking permits, making sure TP doesn't run out, having plenty of towels including hand towels, a hair dryer, dishware, platters, and even the showerhead was like standing under a little spring!

This house helped us fall in love with LA! We really felt like part of West Hollywood. Brilliant locations with bars, restaurants and lots of shops (vintage and new) within walking distance. Gorgeous house with loads of personality, very clean and spacious. Loved every minute. x

We had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic house recently. Eric made the whole process so effortless. From the beginning the ease of booking sets the standard for the whole trip. All was as advertised, the house was spacious, centrally located, clean and fantastically funky. Grabbing coffee each morning from either Joans or Magnolia's on 3rd, marked the start of another great day in LA. We travelled with 3 adults and 2 kids (17, 10) and we couldn't be happier in the house, we even started saying "good to be home" each day. It is in a fantastic location and was the difference between a LA holiday and what all said when we left "trip of a lifetime".
—Alison G., September 2011
My girlfriends and I spend 2 weeks in this lovely place and by the end of the trip we agreed this is the best decision ever. The house is spacious and tastefully decorated. Working fireplace, nice kitchen equipped with everything you need including tableware, and rooms to spread out all our shopping bags. Huge bonus is the location convenience. We could walk to charming boutiques on 3rd street and my favorite restaurants like Jar, Magnolia (cupcake), Joan's on Third, Toast, and Sushi Roku. Eric was so helpful and accommodating. We will definitely stay there again.

We were fortunate to spend 7 nights at this superbly positioned and wonderfully fitted
out holiday home. Arranging the house from England we were hopeful our booking would be
straightforward and, indeed, it was. The owner, Eric, was efficient and answered our
every query immediately. He was understanding and helpful and we thank him for this.
The house was in a safe neighbourhood and ideally situated, especially for shopping in the
Beverley Center and Farmer's Market (a must visit)! We would love to return. Thank you again.

Rented Eric's home for two weeks July 2011 after a very simple booking process.
Arrived from the UK with the address suppllied and a map!
The details supplied on the website were 100% accurate and indeed all the
facilities within the house were fully operational and comfortable. Our family of
5 had lots of space, Whole Food store 5 mins drive up the road,
whole variety of restaurants for all tastes and prices within easy walk.
The house is clean, tidy and located in a safe, good part of LA and importantly
for foreigners to the USA with children you also feel safe. Next time I holiday
in LA I will certainly phone Eric to check availability.
— Brendan McCambridge, United Kingdom, July 2011
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property, would highly recommend it, the house is clean, well located, and parking is super easy with the permit. We had a great time. On top of it all, Eric is just awesome. A++++.
— Ibrahim E., July 2011
Just a short note to let you know how much we enjoyed the stay in LA. The house was fantastic and the location was very central to everything whilst still being in a quiet street. There wasn't anything about the house that we didn't like, it was very spacious, after spending 9 days in a small hotel room in Boston and New York, when we got to LA we finally felt like we could b.r.e.a.t.h.e. again. We did all the touristy things like Universal Studios, Disneyland, the Hollywood sign and shopping of course which were all fun! and lots of other stuff too.
Thank you for the use of the washer/dryer, that really helped and also the pizza restaurant around the corner D'Amore has the most amazing pepperoni/jalepeno pizza we've ever had..ever..!
Overall we would highly recommend the house to anyone who was thinking of spending time in LA.
Cheers :)
